On March 9th we celebrated another birthday for Mommy Kara, and this year we surprised the kids with something really special. We set up a Facebook page in Kara's name and "friended" all of her high school, college, California and Utah friends as well as her family, and they sent her messages and wrote on her "wall" and relayed stories to the kids that they could read. The kids loved it and it was a special way to feel close to her on her birthday. It's not easy to think of gifts that we can give to her on this day, but this idea is one I know that she would love.
